Orange is the New Black star, Danielle Brooks has recently released her new clothing collection for plus sized women! Partnering with Universal Standard, the Tria Collection will consist of three items designed by Danielle. The brand has an ongoing series that asks, “If you could design three pieces that you always wished you had in your closet, but could never find, what would they be?”
The TV star created her three items and designed something every women would want in their closets.
She began with an off-the-shoulder dress, that is available in either charcoal, aubergine, or black for $190. The dress is made to be worn both casually and or for an upcoming special occasion you may have.
Next in the collection is a pair of overalls. Who doesn’t love the old fashioned overall look?! The pair is only available in the color black, but can be purchased for $120.
Finally Danielle created a shirt style dress that was inspired by Solange. The dress comes in teal, pink, and black and costs $110.
Since Orange is the New Black, Danielle has become a popular face in the body-positive movement. Working with Universal Standard allowed her to create a collection in which every woman can feel confident in what they wear.
“We want more. Fashion is so tied into who we are as people, and our personalities. We want to be able to express ourselves, so the more options that we have, the easier it is for us to walk down the street with our heads up feeling like powerful women. Just give us more options.” -Danielle Brooks
