“Every single year I want to keep working and doing what I love. It's an adventure and I don't want to spoil anything.” Since the age of 9, Peyton Wich knew that acting was something he aspired to do for the rest of his life. His journey began with acting classes that intrigued his curiosity, and that opportunity started off solely as an extracurricular activity but turned into an open door towards his future on screen. Humbled by his thirst for knowledge and exposure, he continues to train to perfect his craft. “You can always learn new things especially if you're a beginner- you need training. Even now training is as much as a big part as it was when I first started. Training is important, no matter which stage of the game your career you're at", he states.
As a matter of fact, Peyton’s role as Troy in Stranger Things led him to his next role in the upcoming sequel Goosebumps 2, premiering in theatres October 12, starring Peyton as Tommy Madigan.“It was a blast working on the film and I can't wait for it to come out.” In addition to that, the thriller Quail Hollow is also in the making. The film is centered around secrets and disguising the truth and Peyton's character Charlie, unfortunately gets wrapped up in the chaos of deceit. “It was a very intense role but a fun one to play.” A fun fact from the project was that it was filmed in an active mental facility. The release date hasn't been decided on as yet but that uncertainty contributes to the suspense of the film.
When asked about exploring other possible career options, Peyton gave an insightful response in which he states, “I am a big fan of not having a back up plan. In my eyes having a back up plan makes it just as easy to fall back on.” Peyton knows exactly what he wants and his fans know him just as well. “I get personal with my fans because I want them to know me.” Peyton’s best way of communicating with his fans is through Instagram and he makes a habit of reciprocating the same love an appreciation that he's shown.
Peyton’s style summed up in three words are: trendy, hip, and urban. His favorite stores that compliment these looks are: Zara, Urban Outfitters, Express, and H&M. His style, whether it's on screen or off, it always portrays his poise and determined personality. And we will see that same personality shine through in The Darkest Minds coming to a theatre near you on August 3rd.
